XCamp Fire USA Northeast Ohio council is teaming up with Cars4Charities, a nonprofit organization that handles vehicle donations for charities. Used vehicles can be donated by calling (866) give4us or visiting the Web site at www.cars4charities.org. Designate your contribution to Camp Fire USA Northeast Ohio Council, and proceeds of the sale will be used to defray the cost of local programs. Vehicles are taken to strategically located pickup points, and the donator gets a tax deduction equal to the proceeds of the sale (some restrictions apply). FESTIVALS
XLocal churches and nonprofit organizations interested in having a fund-raising booth at the Johnny Appleseed Festival to be held Sept. 17 and 18 in Lisbon should submit an application to the Chamber of Commerce by Thursday. All other applications, including commercial booths, arts and crafts tables and trailer concessions, are due by June 30, and the deadline for recipes for the Johnny Appleseed Cookbook is June 1. All recipes and applications should be mailed to: Lisbon Area Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 282, Lisbon, OH 44432. Volunteers for the festival are needed; the next meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Union National Mortgage, 40 N. Park Ave., Lisbon.

XBoy Scout Troop 40 will sponsor a yard sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the East Fairfield United Methodist Church, 45675 State Route 558, Fairfield Township.
