Hubbard teenager charged with resisting arrest, assault

HUBBARD -- A 19-year-old Hubbard man faces arraignment this morning on charges of resisting arrest and assault on an officer after fleeing from police Sunday. Justin Shilling, of Elizabeth Street, faces an additional charge of aggravated menacing.
According to Hubbard police officer Bob Thompson, officers arrived at a home on Elizabeth around 5:30 p.m. Sunday to answer a domestic disturbance call. When they arrived, Shilling started to run and officers took off after him, Thompson said. He was chased through several yards until he was captured on Elmwood, Thompson said.
Shilling kicked an officer in the groin and spit on other officers, Thompson said.
Shilling was taken to the Trumbull County jail.
