Stephanie Hunter seated as president of symphony guild



YOUNGSTOWN -- Stephanie Hunter was installed as president of the Youngstown Symphony Guild for its 2005-06 season during a luncheon May 11 at the Youngstown Club.
Other officers installed were Dorothy Davis, president-elect; Phyllis Bacon, vice president; Joan Sutton, recording secretary; Mary Lou Mack, corresponding secretary; and Jeanne Simeone, treasurer.
The guild focuses on creating awareness of the Symphony Society and provides funding for its programs. Over the past year, it contributed more than $56,000 to the society's annual fund.
The guild's first fund-raising activity for this season will be a golf outing Aug. 5 at Youngstown Country Club.
Other projects scheduled for the year include the Opening Gala Concert Soiree Oct. 22 at the Symphony Center and the Symphony Ball April 1, 2006, at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman.
