Sefciks honored by family on 50th anniversary

XBOARDMAN -- A celebration was held May 21 in honor of the 50th wedding anniversary of John and Lillian Sefcik, Glenwood Avenue.
The couple's children, John and Carol Ginty of Olmsted Township and Patrick and Marlene Sfara of Boardman, along with their five grandchildren, hosted the sit-down dinner, which was held at Bruno's Restaurant in Poland.
The former Lillian Hodos and Mr. Sefcik were married May 21, 1955, at St. Matthias Church in Youngstown, where they are members.
Mrs. Sefcik is a homemaker and member of the Infant Jesus of Prague.
Mr. Sefcik retired from Compco Industries in 1999, where he was a traffic manager. He served in the Korean Conflict from 1953 to 1954, and is a member of the Holy Name Society and the Youngstown Traffic Club.
