OTHER STEPS TOWARD HEALTHY BREASTS:
U Dr. Shayesteh, Clinical Nutritionist, says that one-third of all cancer deaths are related to what we eat. To reduce breast cancer risks, he suggests avoiding too much fat and choosing cooking methods that add no fat to foods. Reduce consumption of salt-cured, pickled, smoked, and processed foods and avoid too much sugar. Stop smoking, reduce caffeine intake, and control your weight. Cut down or eliminate alcohol consumption. Eat a variety of foods, and increase dietary fiber by eating fresh fruits and vegetables and whole grain products. Eat fish at least twice a week, and exercise daily. (330) 729-9665.
U Ted Suzelis, N.D. suggests reducing exposure to environmental pollutants, increasing the amount of omega 3 fatty acids and antioxidants in your diet, and detoxing the liver to keep hormones balanced. He also suggests eating a diet optimized to your body chemistry to maximize nutrition and minimize food allergens. (330) 872-1577 or (330) 533-1870.
