Bishop Tobin accepts retirement, makes shifts in diocesan positions



YOUNGSTOWN -- Bishop Thomas J. Tobin has accepted the retirement of one pastor, appointed a parish administrator, and confirmed the appointment of an associate pastor.
Rev. John Nentwick has retired from the pastorate of Our Lady of Peace Parish in Canton, effective July 1. He was ordained May 29, 1965, after completing seminary studies at Mount St. Mary Seminary in Cincinnati.
Rev. Thomas Crum has been appointed administrator at Our Lady of Peace Parish in Canton, effective July 15. He was ordained June 7, 1975, after completing seminary studies at Mount St. Mary Seminary in Cincinnati. Father Crum served as associate pastor at St. Mary Parish in Massillon; St. James Parish in Warren; St. John Parish in Campbell; St. Christine Parish in Youngstown; Immaculate Conception Parish in Ravenna; Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Youngstown and St. Charles Parish in Boardman. He was pastor at St. Mary Parish in Orwell and St. Anthony Parish in Canton, prior to his current position as pastor at St. Peter Parish in Rootstown.
Rev. Andrew Torma, M.S.C., has been appointed associate pastor of St. Mary Parish and St. Paul Parish, both in Canton, effective today. He is a member of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart and was ordained June 19, 1976. Among other assignments, he at one time was program director of the Sacred Heart Retreat and Renewal Center in Youngstown.
