Beaver Local's Daniel Kinsey wins 3 events

MILLERSBURG -- Beaver Local senior Daniel Kinsey, an Indiana University recruit, won three events at the Division II district track and field meet at West Holmes High School.
Kinsey placed first in the 110 hurdles and second in the 300 hurdles on Saturday after winning two events -- the discus and the long jump -- on Thursday. He set a district record in the discus with a throw of 175 feet, 6 inches.
Beaver Local senior John Sensebaugher won the 100 and 200.
On the girls side, Beaver Local senior Kelsey Mays won the 800.
The top four in each event advance to the regional tournament at Byesville Meadowbrook High School.
Division III
CRESTON -- Leetonia senior Aaron Merrill won the shot put with a meet-record throw of 57-8 at the Division III district meet at Norwayne High School.
Lisbon senior Dom DeFilippo, who edged Merrill in the discus on Thursday, finished second in the shot and Crestview's Jordan Reynolds won the 300-meter hurdles.
On the girls side, Leetonia's Malorie Valentine followed up Thursday's victory in the shot put by placing first in the discus.
The top four in each event advance to the regional meet at Navarre Fairless High School.
