AMERICAN CHEMICAL SOCIETY Outstanding chemistry students are recognized at competition
The Penn-Ohio Border Section of the American Chemical Society recently recognized several people in the five-county area that includes Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana, Mercer and Lawrence counties.
The group recognized an outstanding chemistry student at each of the six colleges within the area, high school students who scored high enough on the preliminary Chemistry Olympiads test to qualify to take the National Chemistry Olympiads Test, an Outstanding High School Chemistry Teacher for 2005 and a 50-year member. The Chemistry Olympiads program is a multitiered competition that promotes excellence in high school chemistry.
