June 4: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., opening day celebration of Loghurst's 200th anniversary with birthday cake, old-fashioned games and tours of the house.
Every Sunday in June: Sweet Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
*June 5: Homemade pie.
*June 12: Strawberry Shortcake Sunday.
*June 19: Ice cream social.
*June 26: All Chocolate Day.
June 11: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Deborah Wagner, a local quilter, will showcase her work.
June 18: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Alice Whitehill will perform and share the history of the dulcimer and Appalachian music.
June 25: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., children can play old-fashioned games like rolling hoops, graces and jack straws.
Every Sunday in July: Behind-the-scenes tours.
July 16: 6 to 7:30 p.m., outdoor lawn concert. Admission is $5 per car. The cost includes a tour of Loghurst. Pets and alcohol are not permitted.
Every Sunday in August: Kids' Craft Days.
Aug. 20 and 21: 1:30 to 3 p.m., "Music of the Civil War Era." Participants can listen to music and learn the history behind the songs. Regular admission costs apply.
Loghurst is open Saturdays and Sundays in June through October from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the general operating season. Regular admission is $4 for adults and $3 for students and seniors. There is free admission for Western Reserve Historical Society members and children 5 and under.
