SPECIAL ELECTION Aug. 2

The following school districts filed to place tax issues on the Aug. 2 special election by Thursday's deadline:
MAHONING COUNTY
SEBRING: A 0.75 percent, 5-year income tax to raise $390,000 annually for operating expenses.
JACKSON-MILTON (includes a portion of Trumbull County): A 5.4-mill, 28-year bond issue to raise $12,425,000 for new school facilities, and to provide equipment, furnishings and site improvements.
TRUMBULL COUNTY
LAKEVIEW: A 3.5-mill, 5-year additional levy for emergency requirements to raise $948,000 annually.
GIRARD: A 2.4-mill, 28-year bond issue to raise $5,441,000 for the construction of a new junior-senior high school, the purchase of equipment and the demolition of the current school; a 2-mill, 28-year bond issue to raise $4,559,000 to purchase property to house the new school; and a 0.5-mill, 23-year additional levy to raise $1.6 million to maintain the new school.
COLUMBIANA COUNTY
EAST LIVERPOOL: A 12.4-mill, 5-year additional levy for emergency requirements to raise $2,024,000 annually.
