Local task force arrests man

YOUNGSTOWN -- Agents with the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested a man Thursday on a warrant for failure to appear on a firearms charge.
Archie Morris, 50, of Coronado Avenue, was arrested Thursday in a home on Griffith Street, said Dean Michael of the U.S. Marshals Service, coordinator of the multiagency task force.
"He's definitely a significant career criminal," Michael said, adding that Morris' criminal record goes back to 1981.
The task force knew Morris was in the area and had been looking for him for about three weeks, Michael said.
Agents and officers from the U.S. Marshals Service, Mahoning County Sheriff's Department, Ohio Adult Parole Authority and Youngstown, Hubbard Township, Poland Village, Struthers and Washingtonville police departments make up the task force.
