Celebration fetes Mr. and Mrs. Miles on anniversary

XYOUNGSTOWN -- The seven sons of Walter and Helen Miles, 818 Lyden Ave., will host a celebration May 21 at their parents home to mark the couple's 58th wedding anniversary.
Invitations were issued by Leon J., Charles D., Thomas R., Richard and Jeffrey L. Miles, all of Youngstown; Kenneth M. Miles of San Rafael, Calif., and Reginald Miles of Vallejo, Calif.
Twenty-one grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren complete the family.
The former Helen Christine Thompson and Mr. Miles were married May 21, 1947, at the Youngstown Courthouse.
Mrs. Miles is a homemaker. Mr. Miles retired from Republic Steel Corp. in 1975 as a steel worker.
Both are members of Holy Temple and We Walk By Faith Church and are involved with NAACP and AARP. He is also a member of 1331 United Steelworkers Local 1331 Retirees, and is active with S.O.A.R.
