ABWA Chapter elects officers, awards scholarships



HERMITAGE, Pa. -- Shenango Valley Charter Chapter of the American Business Women's Association met May 4 at Red Lobster and awarded $12,000 in scholarships to several local young women.
Receiving $2,000 scholarships were: Sheila Shaffer from Hickory High School, Emily Arena from West Middlesex High School, Christine Lombardi from Kennedy Catholic, Maria Rodgers from St. Francis University, Nicole Trollman from Reynolds High School and Tara Mitchell from West Middlesex High School.
Mary Ann Lark is the scholarship committee chairwoman.
Election of the 2005-06 executive board was also held. Presiding on the new board will be Jean Keene, president; Deb Banic, president-elect; Lorinda Hinch, secretary; and Karen Rosati, treasurer.
The new officers will be inducted at the July 13 meeting.
