HUBBARD
May 11
Arrest: Officers took in a Hubbard man after Boardman police had pulled him over during a traffic stop. The suspect was wanted on a warrant from Hubbard charging him with failure to appear on two counts of public indecency.
Attempted theft: A man reported someone tried to break into the tool shed at a home in the 60 block of Grandview Avenue.
May 12
Bad check: An employee at Bellwick Bowl, 6105 W. Liberty St., told police a woman had written him a bad check. The amount was not in the report.
May 13
Theft: A woman in the 50 block of West Water Street discovered money missing from her bank account.
Criminal mischief: A Hubbard woman reported some signs belonging to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 3767, 710 W. Liberty St., were found damaged near North Main and Myron streets.
May 14
Theft: A lawn mower and a weed clipper were stolen from a tool shed at a home in the 200 block of Scott Street.
May 15
Theft: A man in the 100 block of Viola Avenue discovered items missing from his tool shed.
May 16
Theft: An employee at The Indian Store, 304 N. Main St., discovered the theft of an Indian statue.
Arrest: Police arrested a Hubbard man at the Trumbull County jail wanted on a warrant accusing him of failing to appear in court on a single count of failure to pay income taxes.
LIBERTY
May 10
Truck theft: A Burghill man reported his pickup truck missing from a lot at Amherst Rentals, 1613 Amherst Drive.
Theft: A man in the 3000 block of Green Acres Drive discovered his wallet and a book of checks missing from his apartment.
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A woman in the 200 block of Goldie Road said her boyfriend took her 1999 Chrysler Towne & amp; Country without permission, and that she had not seen or heard from him.
Drugs: After pulling over a driver for failing to use a turn signal at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex, 1620 Motor Inn Drive, police arrested a Campbell man, 32, and issued him two traffic citations. He also was charged with two counts of possession of drug-abuse instruments after officers say they found in the car a hypodermic needle plunger cap, a cooking spoon wrapped in plastic and other suspected drug instruments.
Domestic violence: Officers arrested a 13-year-old boy at his Mansell Drive residence on charges of domestic violence and being an unruly juvenile. The boy's father alleged he slapped the back of the father's head as the two talked.
May 11
Assault: A Youngstown man told police that, as he walked his dog near Parkwood Avenue and Catherine Street, a resident in the 200 block of Catherine became angry after the dog defecated on the man's lawn. The victim said the man grabbed him by the shirt.
Criminal damaging: A woman in the 3000 block of Green Acres Drive alleged her former boyfriend, 26, became angry when she refused to invite him in and that he kicked in her apartment door, causing $250 in damage.
May 12
Theft: An employee at Pizza Hut, 3923 Belmont Ave., noticed a cash register has been coming up short over a six- to seven-month period, and that most recently it was off by $31.
May 13
Arrest: Officers arrested a 39-year-old man at his Northgate Drive residence. He was charged with failure to appear on a charge of having unpaid fines.
Truck theft/vandalism: A worker at Cleveland Auto Wrecking Co. Inc., 2700 Youngstown-Hubbard Road, discovered someone took a 1988 Ford F-150 pickup truck and drove it through a chain-link fence. He also found out a vehicle sustained about $1,000 worth of front-end damage.
Arrest: Police took into custody a Youngstown man, 47, at a Petro Shopping Center near Interstate 80 and Salt Springs Road. He was wanted on a warrant from Liberty charging him with failure to appear on a theft charge.
Theft/fraud: A woman in the 1100 block of Logan Wood Drive reported someone fraudulently used her identity to obtain gas utility services through Dominion East Ohio Gas for a residence in Youngstown. The victim's loss came to $1,207.
May 14
Attempted theft: An employee at Dollar General, 3551 Belmont Ave., called police after a man in his 40s and a woman in her 30s reportedly tried to take various items.
May 16
Recovered property: Employees at the Hampton Inn, 4400 Belmont Ave., called police about a vehicle that had been parked there for a week. Officers determined the 2000 Honda Civic had been stolen in Youngstown.
Domestic violence: After police went to a home in the 1300 block of Virginia Trail, they arrested a 43-year-old Youngstown man on charges of domestic violence and aggravated menacing. The victim played tape-recorded messages on which someone threatened to kill her and/or her daughter.
May 17
Arrest: While responding to a report of a possible traffic accident near Pleasant Valley and Oriel-Rodgers roads, police pursued a car on Oriel-Rodgers and said the driver jumped from the vehicle while it was still in motion and ran into a wooded area. Officers caught him, a 23-year-old Girard man; charges against him were operating a vehicle under the influence, driving under suspension, failure to control a motor vehicle and resisting arrest.
