Reception planned as celebration of Klingers' 50th



XCHAMPION -- The 50th wedding anniversary of Elmer "Russ" and Margaret Klinger of Champion will be celebrated with a reception from 1 to 4 p.m. May 28 in the Christian Life Center at Champion Church of the Nazarene, 3924 High St.
All family and friends are invited to attend. There will be a video presentation at 2:30 p.m. The couple request that gifts be omitted.
The former Margaret Farmer and Mr. Klinger were married May 21, 1955, in Angola, Ind. They lived their entire married life in West Farmington until they moved to Champion in 2004.
The Klingers have two children, Krista Daniels, who lives with her husband, Paul, in Champion, and the late Rusty Klinger. Two grandchildren complete the family.
Mrs. Klinger retired from Farmer Plumbing in 1997, where she was an office manager and bookkeeper for 26 years. She also worked at Copperweld, Geauga Industries and the Ravenna Arsenal.
Mr. Klinger was postmaster and rural carrier for the West Farmington post office for 28 years. He also served in the U.S. Air Force.
The Klingers are members of the church and have participated in several mission trips across the globe.
