New Middletown's Taryn Dobson finished her softball career at Marietta.
For the third straight year, Edinboro University junior Julie Nemergut was named to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Winter Top 10 awards.
The award is selected by the conference's sports information directors and it recognizes student-athletes who distinguish themselves in the classroom as well as in sports.
To be a candidate for the Top 10 awards, a student-athlete must have achieved at least a 3.25 GPA and be a starter or key reserve.
Nemergut, a South Range High graduate, is a special education major with a 3.87 GPA.
During the indoor track and field season, she finished first at the PSAC championship in the mile with a time of 5 minutes, 1.5 seconds. It was a meet record and an NCAA provisional qualifying time.

She also earned PSAC honors after leading Edinboro's cross country team to a second-place finish at the NCAA Division II national championships, its best performance ever.
Her performance at the nationals capped a dominating postseason as she won both the PSAC championship and East Regional individual crowns.
