MOTHERS OF TWINS Melody Broderick named mother of year



AUSTINTOWN -- The Youngstown Mothers of Twins Club crowned Melody Broderick as their 2005 Mother of the Year during a dinner and celebration held at Rachael's Restaurant in Austintown.
Broderick has been a member of the YMOTC for almost 12 years. She and her husband, Doug, live in Austintown and have twin sons, Alexander and Andrew, who are 12 and in the sixth grade at Austintown Middle School.
She is currently the president of the YMOTC and has also served as its treasurer, corresponding secretary, recording secretary and chairperson of many committees. She will represent the YMOTC at the Ohio Federation of Mothers of Twins Club convention to be held in June in Columbus. A state mother of the year will be chosen at the annual three-day convention.
Activities
She is the state chairman of Twin Items, which involves buying and selling gifts for twins at the annual Twins Day Festival in Twinsburg.
Broderick is employed at Autumn Hills Nursing Home in medical records. She enjoys making crafts and being involved in PTA, Relay for Life and the highway clean-up program that the YMOTC participates in several times a year.
She and her family attend St. Andrew Church.
