Mercer games to be June 5-11

MERCER, Pa. -- The 10th Annual Mercer County Senior Games will be held throughout the county June 5 through 11.
The games, sponsored by the Mercer County Area Agency on Aging, Inc. and PrimeTime Health, are athletic contests designed to promote health and fitness for men and women age 50 and older, organizers said.
Any Mercer County resident age 50 or older may participate. Nonresidents age 50 or older who are affiliated with a sponsor or senior group may also participate.
Competition is by age group -- 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-84, 85+. Medals are awarded to the top three scores or finishes in each event.
A donation of $10 ($20 if golfing) is suggested. Participants will receive a commemorative shirt and lunches where available.

June 6: Horseshoes, 9 a.m., Riverside Park, Greenville.
June 7: Shuffleboard, 8:30 a.m., McQuiston Center by the Park, Sandy Lake.
June 8: Bowling, 8:30 a.m., Bowlodrome, Grove City.
June 9: Racquetball, 1 p.m., F.H. Buhl Club, Sharon.
June 10: Golf, 7:30 a.m., Pine Hill Golf Courses, Greenville.
June 11: Track & amp; Field, 8 a.m., Hickory High School Track, Hermitage. Basketball, 1 p.m., Hickory High School Gym.
