GARDEN CLUBS

MONDAY
XGarden Gate members will meet at 7 p.m. for a plant exchange. Mary Jane Pavelko will be hostess, with Dorothy Shirilla as co-hostess.
XThe program will be container gardening by Alice Lange, master gardener, when Poland members meet at noon.
TUESDAY
XMembers of East will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. at Anthony's on the River, 15 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown. A flower demonstration at Homestead Florist, 130 Trumbull Ave., Girard, will follow. Hostess will be Kay Cvengros.
XTrailwood Gardeners will have its annual garage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the home of Kitty Heineman, 206 Nesbitt St., Poland. El Dennison is the co-hostess.
WEDNESDAY
XA flower show and dinner are planned for the meeting of St. Michael Garden Guild at St. Michael Church in Canfield. Hostesses will be Lucille Zyzner, Marjorie Yerman, Pat Hoyle, Liz Rehlinger, Ruth Molvin and Shirley Lyon.
THURSDAY
XPlanting at the fire station is planned at 6:30 p.m. for members of Coitsville. Renee Burrows is the hostess.
XDriftwood members will meet at 7 p.m. with Mary Dimitriou as hostess and Norma Klein as co-hostess.
XJane Evans will serve as hostess for a casserole dinner for members of Johnny Appleseed. Marge Dudley will be co-hostess, and Rose Marie Zamary will be in charge of the door prize.
XMahoning Valley Rose Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Davis Center in Fellows Riverside Gardens. A program by Brian Burley of Columbus, titled "365 Days of Roses in 58 Minutes," will precede the meeting. The program is open to the public; nonmembers will be charged a nominal fee.
SATURDAY
XGarden Forum will conduct its flower show Saturday and Sunday.
XMignonette will meet at 9:30 a.m. to carpool at the Gordon Vujevic Gardens in Hartford. A tour at 10:30 will be followed by lunch at Leo's Ristorante in Howland. The phone committee will provide directions for the meeting places.
XPreparing the Garden for Planting" will be the topic when members of Sunflower meet.
UPCOMING
