XO-My-O Chapter of ABWA will meet Thursday at Soffo's Restaurant, South Avenue, Boardman. The event will begin at 6 p.m. with a social hour. Dinner will be a buffet for $17.50. The education committee will present three scholarships, and the speaker will be Lea Mollman from the Mahoning Valley Historical Society speaking on the history of the Arms House "Greystone" on Wick Avenue, Youngstown. XChapter CE of PEO Sisterhood will meet Wednesday at Canfield Presbyterian Church for a noon luncheon meeting. Program will be "Life as a Muslim Woman." Hostesses will be Doris Lohr and Marilyn Samuels.
XKent State University Mothers Club will meet at noon Wednesday at the Olive Garden, U.S. Route 224, Boardman. Scholarship winners will be awarded, and plans for the 2005-06 season will be completed.
