Homicide victim Allen D. Crockett did not go to prison in 1995 for manslaughter as reported in a March 24 story, police said. A Mahoning County grand jury decided not to indict him, according to police and court records.
It was incorrectly reported in Thursday's edition that state Sen. Robert F. Hagan received the most votes in the 3rd Ward in the Democratic Youngstown mayoral primary. Police Chief Robert Bush actually won the ward, based on unofficial results from the Mahoning County Board of Elections. Bush had 464 votes in the 3rd Ward, and Hagan had 422 votes. That means Bush won four of the city's seven wards, Hagan won two and former council President John Swierz won one ward.
