Moodys' 50th celebrated in April at Mr. Anthony's

XYOUNGSTOWN -- A dinner was held April 23 at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Robert and Mary Moody, 530 W. Earle Ave.
The event was hosted by the couple's daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Lewis Byrd of Oakland, Calif. Two grandsons complete the family.
The former Mary Robinson and Mr. Moody were married April 23, 1955, at Third Baptist Church on Oak Hill Avenue, Youngstown, where the couple are members.
Mrs. Moody retired in 1989 as an elementary teacher for the Youngstown Board of Education. She is a member of the Ohio and Mahoning retired teachers associations and a 50-year member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority.
Mr. Moody retired in 1984 from the U.S. Postal Service as a tour superintendent. He served in the U.S. Army as a member of the 340th Army Band from 1943 to 1946.
