Garden events set for Smeltzer- Patterson rite

XATLANTA -- Ms. Joan U. Smeltzer of Atlanta, formerly of Youngstown, is announcing the engagement of her daughter, Kristen Wende Smeltzer, to William Leo Patterson, both of Boston.
Mr. Patterson is a son of Drs. Steven and Judy Patterson and Ms. Joan A. Patterson, all of Princeton Junction, N.J.
Miss Smeltzer is a graphics and publications designer for Harvard Museum of Natural History after earning a bachelor's degree in theater at Northwestern University, Chicago.
Mr. Patterson is an architect for Winslow Architects in Cambridge, Mass., while completing his graduate degree in architecture at Boston Architectural Center. He earned his undergraduate degree in art and film studies at the University of Iowa in Iowa City.
The couple are planning a garden wedding and reception for June 11 at the Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary in Belmont, Mass.
