Free comic books
Free comic books
Comic books are an original American art form, created in the early days of the twentieth century. Comic books have survived the dominance of radio, the ubiquity of television, the spread of color and sound motion pictures, the rise of videogames, and the Internet.
Tomorrow, shops across North America and around the world are giving away comic books absolutely free to anyone who comes into their stores. Some of the free titles include The Batman Strikes #1, Marvel Adventures, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, The Simpsons and Betty and Veronica.
Area stores participating include: All American Cards and Comics, 1295 Boardman-Canfield Rd., Boardman and 161West Market St., Warren; Rainbow Comics and Cards, 6961Market St., Boardman; Games Galorre and More, 46 South Main St., Niles; and Bennies, 462 Sharpsville Ave., Sharon.
