Neshannock signals get the green light

NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Neshannock Township supervisors have approved work on traffic signals.

An additional contract with Bruce and Merilees was also approved in the amount of $2,980. Repairs will be made to the loop sensor in the two traffic lights on Route 18. The loop sensor is an underground sensor that causes the traffic light to change when a car is detected.
In other business at their recent meeting, supervisors hired five people for summer employment at Pearson Park at a rate of $5.15 an hour: Anna Hennon, William McNally, David Navarra, Matthew Piatek and Adam Stroia.
Supervisors noted that bids on the project to widen Mitchell Road from Route 18 to east of Spiker Lane and install storm sewers will be opened May 18.
