TOURNAMENT SOFTBALL Ursuline rallies in seventh for 7-6 win

VIENNA -- The Ursuline High softball team rallied to produce two runs in the top of the seventh inning to pull out a 7-6 victory over Brookfield in Division III sectional play Tuesday at the ThunderPlex.
Ashley Siembieda singled home the winning run in the seventh to keep the Irish (12-7) alive in tournament play. Ursuline will play LaBrae on May 10 at the ThunderPlex at 4:30 p.m.
The Irish opened the seventh frame with Mary Hendricks getting her third hit and then stealing her third base of the contest.
Jenna Klempay followed with a single to tie the game. After Maureen Cearfoss singled, Siembieda drove home Klempay with the winning run. Cearfoss picked up the victory and had two hits.
Losing pitcher Jessie Shaffer also had three hits and two RBI's for Brookfield (3-12).
East Palestine 3, Lisbon 2
EAST PALESTINE -- Chelsea Peterson pitched a two-hitter and Sarah Downing provided the big offensive punchy as East Palestine ousted Lisbon.
Downing ripped a two-out, two-run single in the fourth inning when the Bulldogs (11-5) scored all three runs.
Peterson struck out six and walked three while Ashley Clapper suffered the loss for Lisbon (10-4) while scattering six hits.
East Palestine meets Cardinal Mooney on May 10 at 4:30 p.m. in Youngstown.
South Range 5, Crestview 4
NORTH LIMA -- Autumn Carter scored the game-winning run in the top of the 11th on an error by Crestview.
Skye Walley had four hits and Lynn O'Connell had a double for the Raiders, who will play host to Columbiana on Tuesday.
Jen Harroff homered for Crestview.
