ART Competition is showcase for Ohio artists

KETTERING -- Entries for "The View 2005, An All-Ohio Landscape Competition" are being accepted through June 1.
The juried exhibition was created as a showcase for Ohio artists presenting traditional or contemporary views of landscape or land imagery, themes and issues. Entries must be original works in any media (2-D or 3-D), completed within the last two years, and not exceeding 60 inches in width. Jurying will be done from slides at Rosewood Gallery in the Rosewood Arts Centre, 2655 Olson Drive.
Work previously exhibited at Rosewood is not eligible. Completed entries (slides, entry form and non-refundable check of $15 for up to three works), will be accepted through June 1, 2005. The exhibit runs June 27-July 29, following the opening reception on June 26, from 2 to 4 p.m.
The juror this year will be Tarrence Corbin, associate professor and coordinator of the fine arts drawing program for the University of Cincinnati. He will select the exhibitors and award $1,100 in prizes.
