STRUTHERS -- Grammy-nominated and Harlem-bred vocalist Shemekia Copeland is touring in support of her most recent CD, "Talking to Strangers," and will perform live here. Copeland's powerhouse music has garnered her praise from mainstream press and radio and earned her many awards. Her local appearance will be at 10 p.m. April 14 at The Cellar, 162 S. Magic show is Sunday
LIBERTY -- The Youngstown Magic Club will present its 13th annual Close-up Magic Show Sunday the Holiday Inn MetroPlex. Four magicians will perform sleight of hand with coins, cards and other small objects for two shows, at 3 and 5 p.m.
The Youngstown club is the second oldest chapter of the International Brotherhood of Magicians.

Comedians to perform
SHARON, Pa. -- Two nationally known comedians, Chuck Mignanelli and Mike Green, will perform during Primary Health Network's eighth annual Comedy Night, "Laughter is the Best Medicine," April 14 at the Corinthian, 47 Vine Ave. The show and silent auction will benefit PHN's programs for the medically underserved.
Green, the event headliner, has worked with some of the world's most famous comedians such as Tim Allen, Jerry Seinfeld and Ellen DeGeneres. The Detroit native has made a number of TV appearances including Comedy Central, NBC's "Friday Night Videos," and "Night Shift." Mignanelli will open the show.

Warped tour events
The Vans Warped Tour has announced confirmed bands, itinerary, and a pre-sale offer on its Web site at www.warpedtour.com. The Warped Tour opens June 18 in Columbus and hits Cleveland on July 21 and Pittsburgh's Post-Gazette Pavilion on Aug. 1. Local on-sale date and ticket prices will be announced later. Bands include: Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold, Dropkick Murphys, Fall Out Boy, Hawthorne Heights, Motion City Soundtrack, MxPx, My Chemical Romance, Senses Fail, Strung Out, The Bled, The Explosion, The Matches, The Offspring, The Starting Line, Thrice, Transplants, Tsunami Bomb, and Underoath.
