Chicones to mark 65th anniversary at private party

XBOARDMAN -- Nick and Carmel Chicone, 5927 Glenridge Road, will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary during a private party April 1 hosted by their son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Francine Chicone of McDonald.
Mr. Chicone and the former Carmel Piersanti were married on that day in 1940 at St. Anne Church in Youngstown.
Their family also includes Mary Louise Bogan of North Carolina and Nick Jr. and Cheryl Chicone of Boardman, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Chicone is a homemaker. Her husband retired in 1975 from Republic Steel Corp., where he worked as a roll grinder. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus Boccie League and the Republic Steel Bowling League.
The couple are members of Holy Family Church in Poland.
