Camp Fire USA looks forward to centennial

CANFIELD -- Camp Fire USA, the third largest youth development agency in the United States, just celebrated one birthday and is already getting ready to celebrate another.
The agency celebrated its 95th anniversary March 17 and is trying to contact alumni so they can be sure to be around for the celebrations marking the group's 100th birthday.
"We are enjoying being 95 years young as an organization," said Camp Fire USA Northeast Ohio CEO Barbara Smith, "but [we're] looking ahead to celebrating our 100th birthday. We'd like to have the individual clubs get their members together for some fun, and also get everyone together to have one big shindig."
Camp Fire USA has begun an alumni search to invite as many past friends to the centennial festivities as possible.
"We are trying to build our database, so no alumni member misses out on the centennial celebrations," Smith said. "Also, we would like to hear stories or memorable moments to put into a book for the occasion."
