Bullock on Walk of Fame

Bullock on Walk of Fame
LOS ANGELES -- Actress Sandra Bullock was all smiles as she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, the same day her comedy "Miss Congeniality 2" opened nationwide. Bullock, who shot to stardom in 1994 when she appeared in the action-packed "Speed," was honored for a career that includes films such as "Miss Congeniality," "The Net," "Hope Floats" and "While You Were Sleeping." Her star was placed next to that of friend and "Speed" co-star Keanu Reeves. "I no longer feel compelled, because of this honor, to carve my name into every wet cement board on a sidewalk," Bullock joked.
Jolie is picked as sexiest
NEW YORK -- FHM magazine has decreed that Angelina Jolie is the sexiest woman on earth. This is the first time Jolie, who has been linked lately with Brad Pitt, has topped the list of 100 females most accomplished at the art of being dishy. Jolie, who we're told "is mysterious, outspoken, outlandish, very smart," drew 15 million votes in the worldwide readers' poll to unseat last year's winner, Britney Spears, who, in a bit of poetic justice, didn't even make the cut this year.
Crowe ends rock project
SYDNEY, Australia -- Russell Crowe has revealed that his cherished rock-'n'-roll project, 30 Odd Foot of Grunts, is no more. In a post on his Web site, the Aussie actor writes, "What you possibly won't be pleased about, nor understand fully ... is that tofog would seem to have dissolved/evolved." But the music has not died. In fact, Crowe boasts that now by going solo, he'll be free to truly express himself in songs that will explore the rich and varied landscape of his emotional life.
New show for Elfman
NEW YORK -- Film and TV star Jenna Elfman is pressing on in a cold, heartless post- "Dharma & amp; Greg" world with a new CBS comedy pilot, "Everything I Know About Men." But the project has a bit of a scary "Coupling" odor to it: Like that grotesque NBC disaster from '03, the show's an adaptation of another Brit sitcom (BBC's "According to Bex") about, um, couplings. Elfman will play an assistant at a marketing firm who enlists her friends' help to manage the men in her life.
