A summary of recent criminal activity in Girard, Liberty and Hubbard:
GIRARD
March 21
Assault: A Girard woman told police two girls assaulted her daughter while the victim was walking home from school on Prospect Street.
March 24
Theft: A McDonald woman noticed $200 had been removed from her purse while she was at a residence in the 700 block of Prospect Street, and that two other women had money missing from their purses.
LIBERTY
March 15
Arrest: After pulling over her vehicle near Roosevelt and Colonial drives, police arrested a 34-year-old Youngstown woman after discovering she was wanted on a warrant from Youngstown charging her with making false reports. She also was cited on a charge of driving under suspension.
Possible theft: A man reported his vehicle's license plate lost or stolen at his home in the 1600 block of Tanglewood Drive.
March 16
Identity theft: A woman in the 60 block of Warner Road reported someone obtained her checking account information and cashed a $368 check in her name in California. She told police she had received a suspicious phone call in February that could be related to the incident.
March 17
Theft/breaking and entering: A man in the 300 block of Mansell Drive said someone got into his car and stole 45 compact discs, two CD carriers and a CD holder, for a loss of $945.
Arrest: Police apprehended a McDonald woman, 24, in the 100 block of East Liberty Street. She was wanted on an outstanding violation-of-probation hearing warrant.
Auto theft: A woman discovered her 1997 Plymouth Breeze missing from her apartment in the 1400 block of Townsend Avenue.
Theft: Police arrested a 38-year-old Youngstown man on a theft charge after an employee at Movie Gallery, 3551 Belmont Ave., reported someone had taken three DVDs without paying.
March 18
Arrest: Police picked up a 27-year-old Youngstown woman at the Mahoning County jail on a warrant from Liberty charging her with failure to appear on one count each of having no operator's license and receiving stolen property.
March 19
Theft: A Warren woman discovered a handbag containing a credit card and debit card stolen while she was at a Speedway gas station, 4210 Belmont Ave. She later found out one card was fraudulently used at Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave., and the other was misused in Poland and Boardman.
Theft: A Hubbard woman reported the theft of her purse as well as $50 in cash, a jacket and a checkbook while she was at Choice's Niteclub, 1620 Motor Inn Drive.
March 20
Theft: A customer in a white van reportedly drove away from a Shell True North station, 3990 Belmont Ave., after pumping $45 worth of gasoline and failing to pay for it.
Arrest: After stopping a vehicle for driving left of center several times on Belmont Avenue, police arrested a 25-year-old Vienna man near state Route 193 and Smith-Stewart Road. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence and failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer after officers say he initially failed to pull over.
Arrest: While responding to a report of a break-in near Hadley Avenue and Mansell Drive, police noticed a suspicious vehicle pulling out of a driveway in the 300 block of Mansell. Arrested was a Warren man, 44, after it was discovered he was wanted on a warrant from Warren charging him with failure to appear on one count of receiving stolen property. The suspect also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after officers say they found a suspected crack pipe in the car.
Breaking and entering: After seeing a suspicious person running along a walkway in the Liberty Plaza, 3551 Belmont Ave., police discovered someone had tossed a rock and smashed a window at Sally Beauty Supply, same address. It was undetermined if anything was taken.
March 21
Criminal damaging: A Vienna, Va., woman staying at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex, 1610 Motor Inn Drive, found out someone had tossed eggs at her vehicle.
Criminal damaging: A Liberty Township employee called police after someone spray-painted racial epithets on a pavilion and in a restroom at Church Hill Park, 4316 Belmont Ave.
Auto theft: A woman in the 800 block of Pinecrest Road reported her 1996 Chrysler Sebring stolen from her driveway.
March 22
Domestic violence: Officers arrested a 35-year-old man at his Northgate Drive residence on a domestic-violence charge. The man's wife alleged he pushed her in their driveway and punched her in the chin inside the residence while arguing about their children.
HUBBARD
March 16
Theft: A Windham man noticed his wallet missing while he was in the Hubbard High School gym, 350 Hall Ave.
Theft: A Hubbard woman discovered her cellular phone had been stolen, possibly while she shopped at CVS Pharmacy, 134 Youngstown-Hubbard Road.
March 18
Fraud: A woman in the 50 block of West Water Street discovered an undetermined amount of money missing from her bank account.
March 19
Assault: A woman told police her daughter was assaulted at their residence in the 200 block of East Liberty Street.
Theft: A woman discovered someone stole a mailbox from her home in the 700 block of Jones Street.
March 21
Theft: An employee at Dave's Super Tire, 612 N. Main St., reported the theft of items outside the business.
Theft: A woman discovered various merchandise missing from her vehicle at her residence in the 400 block of West Liberty Street.
