YOUNGSTOWN HOMICIDE Police seek suspect in shooting death

The gunman drove away in a flashy car, police said.
YOUNGSTOWN -- A crime of passion led 23-year-old Anthony Mobley to shoot his rival to death, police said.
An aggravated murder warrant for Mobley was issued Monday, just hours after Nathaniel Freeman, 26, of Halleck Avenue was shot four times outside a woman's home in the 200 block of Wayne Avenue, said Lt. Robin Lees. Mobley, originally from Mobile, Ala., had been living on Gluck Street.
The warrant was given to members of the Mahoning Valley Violent Crimes Task Force and U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force. If arrested overnight, Mobley would be arraigned today in municipal court.
Lees said the shooting took place at 10:45 a.m. when Mobley called Freeman out of his car and opened fire with 9mm handgun. Freeman was hit in the back and leg.
Freeman had been seeing Mobley's former girlfriend, who lives on Wayne Avenue, Lees said. The two men had argued earlier, then separated, he said.
Mobley left the scene in a silver Buick Roadmaster with maroon hood and flames on the side. The car also has flashy rims, Lees said.
Freeman's death is the city's seventh homicide of the year. At this time last year, the city had recorded six homicides.
