NCAA NOTEBOOK From Cleveland

Formula for success: The Panthers made at least 10 3-pointers (11) for the fourth consecutive game. It's been the team's modus operandi for the NCAA Tournament -- shoot from the outside in the first half, then get the ball inside to Joah Tucker in the second half when the opponent must extend its defense.
Numbers: Milwaukee is 19-2 this season when Ed McCants and Tucker both score in double figures. UWM is 9-2 when forcing 20 or more turnovers (Boston College had 22), and the Panthers are 18-0 when they shoot 45 percent or better from the floor.
Horizon history: Milwaukee is the first Horizon League team to advance to the Sweet 16 since Butler in 2003.
Winning streak: Milwaukee has won 11 straight games, a school record as a Division I program. Milwaukee's all-time best is 14 straight, set in 1988-89.
Coming from behind: The Panthers won for the fifth time this season when rallying from a double-digit deficit. Boston College led 11-0 at the start of Saturday night's game.
Career high: Boston College's Jared Dudley set a career high at the free throw line, making 18 of 21. He set a school record for free throws made in a game.
Detecting a trend: Boston College is 19-16 all-time in the NCAA Tournament, but has lost its last five second-round games. The Eagles' last trip to the Sweet 16 was in 1994.
