INDIANAPOLIS -- Reggie Miller scored a season-high 39 points, his highest total in nearly 4 1/2 years, and the Indiana Pacers held off a fourth-quarter rally to defeat the Lakers. Miller made a 3-pointer with 59 seconds left to give the Pacers a 95-90 lead, then made six straight free throws in the final 24.8 seconds to seal the victory. Miller's 39 points were his most since he had 41 against Milwaukee on Nov. 8, 2000. Stephen Jackson had 19 points and five assists, and Anthony Johnson added 13 points and 11 assists for the Pacers.
Nets 94, Jazz 80
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Vince Carter scored 10 of his 23 points in the pivotal third quarter, and Jason Kidd had 10 points, nine assists and eight rebounds. Carter and Kidd sat out the fourth quarter with the Nets firmly in command. Andrei Kirilenko led Utah with 15 points as the Jazz dropped their eighth straight game. Utah managed to keep the game close until midway through the third quarter when New Jersey reeled off 11 straight points for a 62-47 lead. After Matt Harpring scored for Utah, Brian Scalabrine scored the next six points to give New Jersey a 68-49 lead.
Knicks 106, Hawks 92
ATLANTA -- Stephon Marbury scored 24 points and Tim Thomas added 23 as the New York Knicks kept their playoff hopes alive. Ending a two-game losing streak and winning on the road for just the eighth time this season, the Knicks held Atlanta without a field goal for nearly nine minutes after Tom Gugliotta's 15-footer produced an 84-84 tie with 9:40 remaining. The Hawks, who dressed only 10 players with starters Al Harrington and Josh Childress out, have lost four straight and 15 of 16. Reserve guard Boris Diaw led Atlanta with 17 points.
Grizzlies 88, Timberwolves 83
MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Jason Williams came off the bench to score 17 points, and Lorenzen Wright and Bonzi Wells added 16 each Friday night to lead the Memphis Grizzlies past the Minnesota Timberwolves. Mike Miller scored 14 points for Memphis and James Posey finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds as the Grizzlies won for the eighth time in their last 10 games. Minnesota's playoff hopes took another hit with the Timberwolves losing for the fourth time in six games. Kevin Garnett led Minnesota with 30 points on 12-of-17 shooting and 19 rebounds.
Pistons 103, Raptors 92
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Chauncey Billups scored 23 points and Tayshaun Prince added 21 to lead the Detroit Pistons to their 11th straight home win. Donyell Marshall had 25 points and 12 rebounds for the Raptors, who were without center Chris Bosh after he bruised his lower back during Wednesday's 110-109 loss at Boston. Jalen Rose had 24 points for Toronto, which has lost eight of its past nine games in Auburn Hills. Alston added 16 points and four assists.
Bucks 99, Wizards 90
MILWAUKEE -- Michael Redd scored 26 points and Joe Smith added a season-high 24 as the Milwaukee Bucks blew a 16-point lead but still beat the shorthanded Wizards. Washington, which had only eight players due to injuries and illness, remained one game ahead of Cleveland for the fourth playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Gilbert Arenas scored 27 points and tied a season-high with 10 rebounds for Washington, which didn't make a field goal in the final 4:46. Smith shot 9-for-11 and had 10 rebounds.
Spurs 93, Bobcats 76
SAN ANTONIO -- Tony Parker scored 24 points, half of them coming in the decisive third quarter, and the San Antonio Spurs beat the Charlotte Bobcats. Tim Duncan added 19 points for the Spurs, while Devin Brown had 15 and Robert Horry 11. The Spurs, playing their fifth straight game without injured swingman Manu Ginobili, improved their NBA-leading record to 50-15. They are 31-3 at home, also best in the league. The loss was the ninth straight for the Bobcats and their 18th in the past 20 games. They are 2-30 on the road.
Celtics 103, Rockets 92
HOUSTON -- Mark Blount came off the bench and matched his season high with 22 points to lead the Boston Celtics to their season-best sixth straight victory. Boston has won 10 of its last 11. The loss snapped a six-game winning streak for Houston. Boston had six players in double figures. Antoine Walker had 18, Ricky Davis 15, Paul Pierce 12, Tony Allen 11 and Gary Payton 10. Tracy McGrady led Houston with 22 points, followed by Yao Ming with 18, Jon Barry with 16 and David Wesley with 12.
Hornets 94, Bulls 90
CHICAGO -- Jamaal Magloire scored 17 points in his second game back from a long injury absence, and P.J. Brown added 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead the New Orleans Hornets to a rare road win. The Bulls have lost four in a row for the first time since starting the season 0-9. The Hornets improved to 4-28 on the road and won for the first time in 43 games this season when trailing going into the fourth quarter. Kirk Hinrich, who was a gametime decision for Chicago with a sore left hamstring, scored 27 points and Tyson Chandler added 13 points, 15 rebounds and five blocked shots for Chicago
Nuggets 115, Clippers 96
DENVER -- Marcus Camby had 20 points and 17 rebounds to help Denver to its 10th win in 11 games. Camby, back for his second game since a hamstring injury sidelined him for two games earlier this month, owned the middle and even made a couple of outside jumpers to help Denver take a 2 1/2-game lead over the Lakers and Timberwolves for eighth place in the West. Corey Maggette scored 26 points -- 22 in the first half -- to lead the Clippers.
Warriors 110, Suns 100
PHOENIX -- Baron Davis scored 33 points, including five during a decisive 12-0 run midway through the fourth quarter, sparking the Golden State Warriors past the Phoenix Suns. Davis, who has helped the Warriors to an 8-6 record since he was obtained from New Orleans last month, hit seven 3-pointers. That was more than the entire Phoenix team, which specializes in that shot. Derek Fisher added 19 points for the Warriors, who got 41 points from their reserves to only 12 for the Suns. Amare Stoudemire led the Suns with 31 points and 10 rebounds.
