How you gonna eat your next cranberry?
U Bagged fresh berries are available around September through January, but canned jellied and whole berry is year-round. "Craisins" come in three flavors: cranberry, cherry flavored cranberry, and cranberry chocolate nut mix. (Chocolate is also high in flavonoids.) Store brand dried cranberries are also available. Wal-Mart has a cranberry-blueberry mix. (Blueberries have similar healthful properties.) Post has a Cranberry-Almond Crunch cereal with real dried cranberries.
U Pure unsweetened cranberry juice is available at health food stores, either as a concentrate that is mixed with water, or pre-mixed. There is a cranberry tablet, also, which is good for giving to animals. There are cranberry blend teas available, too.
U Grocery stores carry bottled or frozen cranberry juice cocktail, and most are at least 27 percent juice. But by far, the biggest variety of cranberry products are the juice blends. These include cran-grape (grape is also high in flavonoids), cran-peach, cran-raspberry, white cranberry, plain and blends, and more. Most are less than 27 percent cranberry juice, so would not be as effective for urinary problems, but still have other healthful and nutritional benefits.
