Kathleen Amer, fiance will wed at St. Michael

XCANFIELD -- John and Frances Amer of Canfield are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Kathleen Amer of Lakewood, to Scott Hackwelder, also of Lakewood.
Parents of the prospective groom are William and Kathleen Hackwelder of Syracuse, N.Y.
An open-church ceremony is being planned for 2 p.m. Aug. 27 at St. Michael Church. Invitations will be issued for a reception to follow at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex in Liberty.
The couple are attorneys for Jones Day in Cleveland. The bride-elect graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana with a bachelor's degree in business administration and magna cum laude from Notre Dame Law School with her juris doctorate. Her fiance earned his bachelor's in engineering at Duke University in Durham, N.C., and his master's civil engineering at Villanova (Pa.) University, and graduated magna cum laude with his juris doctorate from Syracuse University College of Law.
