Triway tops Harvey for state berth

CANTON -- Ryan Whitmer scored 20 points to lead Wooster Triway to a 60-48 victory over Painesville Harvey in a Division II regional championship on Saturday.
Jamie Breneman scored 13 points and Jeff McCartney and Linc Rottman scored 12 points apiece for Triway (23-3), which shot 48 percent from the field to 32 percent for Harvey (24-2).
After trailing 33-22 at the half, Harvey cut the lead to the seven in the fourth quarter but could get no closer.
Julian Mangano led Harvey with 15 points. Morgan Lewis scored 14 and had 10 rebounds and Jeff Spikes had 11 points and 10 boards.
Upper Sandusky 85, Akron SVSM 55
TOLEDO -- Jon Diebler scored 33 points and had eight rebounds and Upper Sandusky pulled away in the second half.
Jacob Diebler had 14 points, eight rebounds and 10 assists for Upper Sandusky (25-0), which trailed by three points after one quarter and then led by 13 at the half.
Lawrence Wilson had 11 points and 11 rebounds and Marcus Johnson scored 22 points and had 10 rebounds for SVSM (18-7).
Greg Micheli scored 15 points and Miles Weaver added 10 for Upper Sandusky.
Day. Dunbar 80, Cin. Taft 72, OT
DAYTON -- Aaron Pogue scored 20 points and Mark Anderson and Daequan Cook added 19 points apiece to lead Dunbar.
Dunbar (22-4) outscored Taft (22-4) 15-7 in overtime after Taft rallied from an eight-point deficit in the fourth quarter to tie the game.
Pogue also had 14 rebounds and Anderson 15 had rebounds and six blocks. Cook had 11 rebounds and four assists.
Heath White scored 14 points and had nine rebounds for Taft. DeAndre Byrd had 17 points and Eddie Gray finished with 15 rebounds and seven assists.
Cols. Linden McKinley 64, Zanesville 60
ATHENS -- Sam Payne scored 29 points and Shaun Gunnell added 15 to lead Linden McKinley.
The Panthers (11-14) went on a 10-2 run with 3:40 left to break a 48-48 tie and take control of the game.
Korey Haddox and his brother Codey Haddox scored 15 points apiece for Zanesville (14-11). Logan Aronhalt had 14 points and Steve Hollins scored 12 for the Blue Devils.
