Frontier will fly the route with new, twin-engine, 132-seat Airbus A319s.

BURBANK, Calif. -- JetBlue Airways will be providing nonstop, coast-to-coast flights from Bob Hope Airport in Burbank to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City.
Three daily flights will begin May 24 and a fourth flight will be added July 15, the company said in a statement.
"Burbank has been waiting for nonstop service to New York for 75 years," said David Neeleman, chief executive officer of JetBlue. "You can't get any closer to Hollywood than the convenient Bob Hope Airport."
Charles Lombardo, president of the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority, said the new flights would be a boon for the city's entertainment industry.
"With so much of the entertainment industry headquartered here, flights to the Big Apple are a great match with our airport," he said.
Introductory fares from Burbank to New York City will cost $99 each way.
