Columbiana library sets writing sessions

COLUMBIANA -- In anticipation of the city's bicentennial celebration this year, current and former residents are invited to participate in a series of free writing workshops at the Columbiana Public Library.
Workshops will start Monday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and continue each Monday through April 25. There is no charge to participate. The series will end with public readings. The publication of workshop writings is planned as well.
The workshop series is called "Write Where You Are: Columbianians Reminisce About the Biggest Little Town in Ohio."
Karen Kotrba, an instructor at Kent State University East Liverpool Campus and a Columbiana native, will lead the workshops.
She noted that the workshops are informal gatherings, open to writers of different levels of experience.
