Active
State Route 45, Goshen and Green townships
Replacement of the bridge over state Route 45 over Meander Creek.
Cost: $300,000. Time frame: Begun in March 2004 with an expected completion this summer.
U.S. Route 62, Youngstown
Resurfacing of U.S. 62 from state Route 625 to Williamson Avenue.
Cost: $500,000. Time frame: Begun in March 2004; completion is expected in the summer.
Interstate 76, Milton and Jackson townships
Reconstruction of I-76 and widening the Bailey Road interchange ramps. Rehabilitation of bridges of I-76 at Newton Falls Road, Duck Creek Road and Grandview Drive was done last year.
Cost: $16.4 million. Time frame: Started in April 2004; done in the fall.
Interstate 80 and state Route 46, Austintown
Resurfacing and widening Route 46 to five lanes, relocating the I-80 westbound on and off ramps and reducing the curvature of the I-80 westbound off-ramp. The bridge on Route 46 over I-80 also will be reconstructed and traffic control devices will be installed.
Cost: $7.2 million. Time frame: Started in February 2004; completion expected in the summer.
Marshall Street bridge, Youngstown
Bridge replacement.
Cost: $2.8 million. Time frame: Started September 2004; completion expected in the fall.
Interstate 680, Youngstown
Five bridges at Thalia, Indianola and Shirley avenues, Gibson Street and Walker-Mill Road are being replaced.
Cost: $3.6 million. Time frame: Started June 2004; expected to be done in the fall.
Interstate 680, Youngstown and Boardman
Overhead signs and supports on I-680 from South Avenue to I-76 are being upgraded and replaced.
Cost: $300,000. Time frame: Started March 2004 and should be completed in the fall.
State Route 711, Contract 2, Youngstown, Girard, Liberty and Mahoning and Trumbull counties
Construction of a four-lane, limited-access divided highway from just north of U.S. Route 422 to I-80/state Route 11.
Cost: $34.8 million. Time frame: Started in March 2003; expected to be completed in the fall.

State Routes 11 and 46 and U.S. Route 62, Canfield city and township and Beaver township
Resurfacing of Route 11 from Route 14 to just north of Leffingwell Road, of Route 46 from Route 446 to the Ohio Turnpike and of U.S. 62 from Route 446 north to Route 46.
Cost: $1.4 million. Time frame: Contract to be awarded this month with the project completed in the fall.
State Route 45, Ellsworth and Jackson
Resurfacing on Route 45 from U.S. 224 to the Trumbull County line.
Cost: $1.3 million. Time frame: Contract in July; to be completed summer 2006.
Interstate 76, Milton
Resurfacing of I-76 from the Portage County line to just east of Route 534.
Cost: $1.3 million. Time frame: Contract in July; completion in summer 2006.
U.S. Route 422, Youngstown
Rehabilitation of six bridges on or over U.S. 422 near Youngstown State University at Wick, Ford, Belmont and Fifth avenues and Covington and Elm streets.
Cost: $7.2 million. Time frame: Contract in July; completion in summer 2007.
Interstate 680 and state Route 630, Poland Township
Micro-resurfacing on I-680 and state Route 630.
Cost: $1.4 million. Time frame: Contract in July; completion in the fall.
Interstate 680, Youngstown
Rehabilitation of six bridges on I-680 at Steel, Wayne Pyatt and Gibson streets, Shirley Avenue and I-680 eastbound to U.S. 62 ramp.
Cost: $6.5 million. Time frame: Contract in June; completion in summer 2007.
Trumbull County, $52.7 million with $44.3 million in active projects and $8.4 million in upcoming projects
Active
State Route 5 and various routes, Northern Trumbull County
Replacement of signs on various state routes in the county.
Cost: $300,000. Time frame: Started in September; expected to be completed in the summer.
State Route 5 and state Route 82, Warren and Cortland
Rehabilitation of nine bridges on or over Routes 5 and 82 from Hoagland Corner to Warren-Sharon Road in Warren and from Route 82 to Route 11 in Cortland. The replacement of the bridge on Route 82 over Mosquito Creek is also included.
Cost: $6.4 million. Time frame: Started in December; expected to be completed in the fall.
Route 45, Champion
Widening of Route 45 to six lanes from north of the interchange of Route 5 and Route 82 to Folsom Street and Home Drive to accommodate two through lanes in each direction, a center exclusive turn lane and an exclusive northbound right-turn lane at the Folsom/Home intersection. Improvements on Fairgreen and Magnolia avenues also will be done to accommodate local parking.
Cost: $2.5 million. Time frame: Started in October 2004 ; expected to be completed in the winter.
Route 45, Bristol
Three miles of Route 45 between Route 88 and Peck Leach Road are being resurfaced.
Cost: $600,000. Time frame: Started in November; expected to be completed in the summer.
Route 46, Howland
Route 46 was widened to provide a left turn lane last year. Work remaining includes the relocation of Raglan Road to align with King Graves Road and the installation of signals at King Graves.
Cost: $1.4 million. Time frame: Completion is in the spring.
Route 82, Brookfield
Reconstruction of seven bridges on Route 82 and reconstruction of a portion of U.S. 62.
Cost: $6.2 million. Time frame: Started in Nov. 2003; expected to be completed in the fall.
Route 193, Liberty and Vienna
Seven miles of Route 193 are being resurfaced with minor rehabilitation from the Mahoning County line to Route 82.
Cost: $2 million. Time frame: Started in September and is expected to be completed in the summer.
Route 711, contract 1, Youngstown, Girard, Liberty and Mahoning and Trumbull counties
A major four-lane, limited-access highway is being constructed from just north of U.S. 422 to I-80/Route 11 including construction of an interchange at Gypsy Lane.
Cost: $25 million. Time frame: Started in March 2003, is expected to be completed in the fall.
Upcoming
Route 45, Warren, Champion and Bristol townships
State Route 45 will be resurfaced from Route 305 to Route 88 and the bridges over Infirmary Run Road and Center Street will be replaced.
Cost: $2.1 million. Time frame: To be completed in the fall.
Route 82, Howland and Vienna
Route 82 from Route 46 to Route 193 will be resurfaced and ramps at West Market Street and Route 46 will be resurfaced.
Cost: $900,000. Time frame: Award this spring; completion in summer.
Route 82, Braceville
Route 82 from Route 534 to Route 5 will be resurfaced.
Cost: $500,000. Time frame: Award this spring; completion in summer.
Route 82, Howland
Offset left turn lanes on Route 82 are to be constructed with Howland-Wilson Road widened for the addition of left turn lanes.
Cost: $700,000. Time frame: Contract award in June with completion expected in fall 2006.
Route 87, Bloomfield
The Route 87 bridge over Mud Creek will be replaced.
Cost: $200,000. Time frame: Contract to be awarded this month with completion in the fall.
Route 88, Farmington
The culvert on Route 88, just west of Third Street, will be replaced.
Cost: $200,000. Time frame: Contract to be awarded next month with a summer completion date.
Route 304, Liberty
Route 304 will be resurfaced from Girard corporation line to Roseview Road.
Cost: $900,000. Time frame: Contract award in May; completion in the fall.
U.S. Route 422, Liberty
Resurface U.S. 422 from I-80 to the Mahoning County line.
Cost: $900,000. Time frame: Contract award in July; completion in the fall.
Route 534, Southington and Farmington
Four miles of Route 535 between Route 305 and Route 88 will be reconstructed and realigned. The bridge on Route 534 north of County Line Turnpike also will be replaced.
Cost: $2.1 million. Time frame: Contract award in July; completion in fall 2006.
