Reliever and general aviation airports in metropolitan areas with 50,000-plus people.
Areas with demonstrated growth in population, business and/or aviation needs.
Resort areas with commuter or corporate aviation services.
Airport sizes of 100-plus acres.
Runway lengths of 5,000 feet or more, or the ability to acquire additional land to extend the runway. The Youngstown-Warren facility's main runway is 9,003 feet, and its secondary runway is 5,002 feet. There are 1,400 acres.
The corporation's goals are rehabilitation and upgrades of structures, development of vacant or underutilized land, and promotion of aviation and aviation services.
AAC manages six airports, including five in Los Angeles County and the airport on Sand Island in the Midway Atoll National Wildlife Refuge.
The company handles more than 1,650 tenants and sells more than 4 million gallons of retail fuel annually, including all of the fuel sold at the five Los Angeles County airports.
AAC also is the fixed base operator at the Santa Monica Municipal Airport (Supermarine), where it serves the corporate and general aviation needs of the busiest single-runway general aviation airport in the country.
Recently AAC signed a 50-year lease agreement to manage, operate and develop the New Orleans Lakefront Airport in Louisiana.
