XYOUNGSTOWN -- Nicole Ann Rickard and Adam J. Algaier, both of Columbus, were married in a winter ceremony Jan. 29 at the D.D. Davis Center in Fellows Riverside Gardens at Mill Creek Park.
Judge Theresa Dellick officiated at the 1 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Herbert J. and Barbara A. Rickard of Poland and the son of Mary and Erman Algaier of Leetonia.
A reception was held afterward at the center.
Friends of the couple, Katie Bardo of Atlanta and Jeremy Hughes of Columbus, served as matron of honor and best man.
The bride's princess-style strapless gown was encrusted with crystal beading and fell to a matching satin-edged, chapel-length train, and she carried a bouquet of white Phalaenopsis orchids.
The couple are residing at 1456 Chesapeake Ave., Columbus. The bride is a preschool teacher at Riverside Children's Center in Columbus after earning a bachelor's degree in art education at Ohio State University, where she has begun graduate studies in the same field.
The groom is a self-employed contractor in Columbus.
