Bathing

BATHING
Good or bad?
A steam bath is good when you:
Are congested; steam can unblock sinuses.
Feel a cold coming on; steam can loosen phlegm.
Get chilled easily; regular steam bathing lessens sensitivity to temperature changes.
Have dry, chapped skin; moist heat stimulates blood flow beneath the skin and removes dead cells, leaving skin feeling softer.
Don't steam bathe if you:
Just consumed a heavy meal.
Are under the influence of alcohol.
Ask your doctor first if you:
Have high blood pressure.
Have coronary problems.
Are pregnant.
