Protestant Family Services holds annual meeting



YOUNGSTOWN -- "Sixty One Years of Serving" was the theme of Protestant Family Service's annual meeting held at Zion Lutheran Church on Feb. 21.
Outgoing president Vera Hackett and executive director Jackie Burley welcomed area clergy, volunteers and other in attendance.
New officers elected are Charles Rudge, president; Shirley Megown, vice president; Lynn Doyle, secretary; and Mike Kapics, treasurer. Newly elected board members are Phillip Denny, Judy Elliott and Mary Ellen Kovalchik. They join Fred Bailey, Mary Grace Camsmith, the Rev. Bob Coursen, Sherri Dawson, Arlene Day, June Ewing, Hugh Frost Jr., Vera Hackett, Kenneth Hays, Napolean Hill, Mike Kapics, Shirley Megown and Christine White.
Committee members are Marie Bailey, Atty. John Dellick, Kim Jackson, Carol Lunger and Claudia Nicosia.
The Protestant Family Service is located in the Oak Hill Renaissance Center at 345 Oak Hill Ave. Some of the services provided are general counseling, emergency assistance, food training in budgeting and saving, furniture and major appliances (used), school clothing and shoes, and assistance with needed life sustaining medications. Appointments for evaluations for services are required to be scheduled in advance by calling (330) 746-4600.
