CRIME Police seek man who fled hospital

AUSTINTOWN -- An arrest warrant has been issued for a Youngstown man who led police on a foot pursuit over the weekend, got bit by a police dog and then fled from the hospital.
An officer saw Paul J. Kalosky, 30, of South Belle Vista, early Sunday at the Sheetz at Mahoning Avenue and state Route 46.
The Dodge Caravan he was driving had been listed as a stolen vehicle, and the officer turned on his lights to keep Kalosky from leaving the parking lot.
Kalosky got out of the vehicle, ran behind the store and into a wooded lot, police said. The Youngstown man fell during the pursuit but ignored the officer's orders to stop, reports said.
When additional officers arrived, the K-9 was released to stop Kalosky, who hit the dog with his arm before the dog bit him. As an ambulance arrived, Kalosky started to have a seizure and was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
He was charged with receiving stolen property, a felony, and resisting arrest and assaulting a police dog, both misdemeanors.
Police said he fled from the hospital Monday afternoon.
