Area cyclists prepare to spin for cancer cure

BOARDMAN -- The American Cancer Society's eighth annual Spinning for a Cure has teamed up with area clubs and nationally known master spinning presenter Louise Hernandez to bring one of the most energizing indoor workout events to Glenwood Middle School, 7635 Glenwood Ave.
A combination of indoor cycling and electrifying music will be the backdrop for Hernandez's Euphoria ride March 12. Two 45-minute spinning sessions taught by area instructors and starting at 10 a.m. will precede the Euphoria ride. The three-hour Euphoria ride will start at noon.
Refreshments will be available to participants throughout the day, donated by local vendors, and a Chinese raffle and silent suction will feature goods from all over the Valley.
Corporate and individual sponsorships are available. To get involved on an individual level, you must raise a minimum of $100 to ride for one hour (first two sessions), $125 per session with Hernandez (last three sessions), or $500 per person to ride the entire five sessions. Corporate sponsorships start at $250. Incentive prizes go to individuals raising the most money.
