Cars become time machines



NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Moonlight cruises, oldies bands and nearly 1,000 classic cars will be moving into Cascade Park today through Sunday for the annual Back to the 50s Weekend.
And if you bring a non-perishable item, to be donated to the food bank at the St. Joseph the Worker Church, you will receive $2 off the $10 admission price.
The event will close Sunday after a 2:30 p.m. concert with Johnny Angel & amp; The Halos. The hours between are packed with lots of activity.
Here is the schedule:
Today
3 p.m. - car registration opens; 5 p.m. - gates open to the public; 8-11 p.m. - The Dorals perform in the dance hall pavilion
Friday
7:30 a.m. - car registration opens; 9 a.m. - gates open to the public; Main stage area: 1:30 p.m. - Memory Lane; 2:45 p.m. - The Softwinds; 5 p.m. - car cruise; 6:30 p.m. - Memory Lane; 7:45 p.m. - The Softwinds. Moonlight Cruise to Eat n' Park: 9 p.m. - DJ Texas Tony.
Saturday
7:30 a.m. - car registration opens; 9 a.m. - gates; Main stage; 1:30 p.m. - Memory Lane; 2:45 p.m. - Chuck Blasko & amp; The Vogues; 6:30 p.m. - Memory Lane; 7:45 p.m. - Chuck Blasko & amp; The Vogues. Moonlight cruise to Eat n' Park: 9 p.m. - DJ Texas Tony.
Sunday
7:30 a.m. - car registration opens; 9 a.m. - gates open to the public; 9:30 a.m. - church service. Main state area: noon - Johnny Angel & amp; The Halos; 1:15 p.m. - car award ceremony; 2:30 p.m. - Johnny Angel & amp; The Halos
