'Apprentice' open calls coming to the area

Then you just may be the right person for the next round of "The Apprentice." The nationwide recruiting tour for the NBC show will come to Pittsburgh July 23 at Duquesne University's Student Union, 600 Forbes Ave. Wristbands are distributed at 9 a.m. and interviews begin at 10 a.m. Candidates should bring a completed application to open calls. Playhouse meeting prepares for new year
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Youngstown Playhouse will begin its 81st season, The Renaissance Continues, with an annual membership meeting at 7 p.m. July 11.
The meeting, which will be held at The Playhouse, is open to all previous and new members of The Youngstown Playhouse.
Any person can become a member of The Playhouse upon paying for a current main stage season ticket.
Season tickets are $60 ($50 for students and seniors); they can be purchased by contacting The Playhouse during regular business hours.
The meeting's business will include the end of the year financial report, as well as the election of the board of directors, and information concerning the upcoming Playhouse season. CLEVELAND -- Funny guy Jim Norton's first show at Odeon Concert club has sold out, so another has been added. The second show is 10:30 p.m. July 23 at the club. Known for his daily appearances on the Opie & amp; Anthony Internet radio show on Sirius and an appearance on the "Tonight Show with Jay Leno," Norton sold out his first show in less than two days, said Belkin Productions. Tickets are $20.
Vocal groups eventin New Jersey for 2005
WILDWOODS, N.J. -- The Vocal Group Hall of Fame induction ceremonies and concerts will be Tuesday through Thursday in New Jersey. The hall, based in Sharon, Pa., moved the event this year for a wider audience. All events will be at the Wildwoods Convention Center. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster (800) 736-1420.
