A summary of recent criminal activity in Poland and Boardman Township:
POLAND
June 23
Theft: A Hamilton Drive man alleged his daughter took two wooden banks, several checks and a gold ring from his bedroom. Each of the banks contained about $200.
Drugs: After arresting a Poland boy, 17, on state Route 170, police say they discovered a suspected marijuana pipe. The boy had not been charged with any drug offenses, however.
June 24
Theft: A Beechwood Trail man told police Sky Bank notified him that someone had withdrawn $404 from the man's account while using an automated-teller machine in Italy.
June 25
Theft: A Hamilton Drive couple alleged their daughter, 37, stole money and misused their credit cards.
June 26
Domestic violence: Officers arrested a 28-year-old man at his Cover Drive home on a domestic-violence charge. The suspect's wife alleged he hit her on top of her head, causing a deep cut, and threw her into the shower.
BOARDMAN
June 22
Criminal damaging: A man reported someone shot a BB gun at his vehicle while he was at Steak 'n' Shake, 6786 Applewood Blvd.
Felonious assault/theft: A woman reported being an assault victim at a residence in the 4900 block of Brookwood Road. Stolen from her were $40 in cash, an iron, a Social Security card and a food stamp card.
Theft: A customer stole an amplifier from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Assault: A woman told police she was assaulted in the roadway near U.S. Route 224 and Sugartree Drive.
Theft: A worker at Target, 417 Boardman-Poland Road, reported the theft of 23 DVD box sets.
Burglary: A man called police after discovering another man's home in the 6300 block of South Avenue had been broken into.
Arrest: A 19-year-old Poland woman, wanted on three warrants, surrendered to Boardman police. Charges against her were assault, aggravated trespass and menacing, all misdemeanors.
Thefts: After separate thefts at Wal-Mart, a Struthers man, 30, a woman, 33, and a man, 28, both from Warren, were arrested. All faced theft charges.
June 23
Breaking and entering: An employee at West Star Lodge, 8387 Tod Ave., discovered a storage shed had been entered and lawn equipment stolen.
Theft: A man in the 6600 block of Mill Creek Boulevard reported someone used his ATM card without permission.
Assault: Police responded to a fight in the Camelot Lanes parking lot, 628 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Burglary: A woman in the 600 block of Oakridge Drive found out someone broke into her garage and removed a bicycle.
Identity theft: A man in the 300 block of Meadowbrook Avenue learned someone opened an account at Dominion East Ohio Gas in his name without authorization.
Breaking and entering: A woman discovered her garage in the 100 block of Argyle Avenue was broken into.
Theft: A man reported the theft of his iPod computer program from a friend's vehicle parked at Family Dollar, 7334 Market St.
Assault/aggravated menacing: A man in the 7000 block of West Boulevard told police he was assaulted, and that his life had been threatened.
Drugs: While police had a car pulled over, officers say they discovered suspected drug paraphernalia and suspected drug-abuse instruments in the vehicle. They arrested a 25-year-old Boardman man on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drug-abuse instruments.
Arrest: After stopping a vehicle, police took into custody a Youngstown man, 26. He was wanted on an outstanding warrant from Austintown charging him with domestic violence.
Thefts: After a pair of thefts took place at Wal-Mart, officers arrested two women, 18 and 22, and a girl, 16, all from Youngstown, and charged the three with theft. They were accused of stealing clothing, body spray and other merchandise.
June 24
Theft: A man discovered items missing from his car, and that someone may have tried to steal the vehicle while he was at the Red Roof Inn, 1051 Tiffany Blvd.
Theft: A man discovered a dolly had been taken from a building in the 90 block of Karago Avenue.
Theft: A worker at the Travelers Inn, 6110 Market St., told police two people left without paying their room charge.
Theft/criminal damaging: A woman reported both passenger-side windows on her vehicle were smashed while she was near St. Charles School, 7325 Westview Ave. Two packs of cigarettes were stolen.
Burglary: A woman alleged her former boyfriend entered her residence in the 6000 block of Tam O' Shanter Drive without permission.
Arrest: Officers picked up a 25-year-old man at his Glendale Avenue residence on a warrant charging him with theft.
Theft: An 18-year-old Youngstown man was charged with theft after being accused of taking a DVD player from Wal-Mart.
Arrest: While conducting a traffic stop, Boardman police arrested a 37-year-old Youngstown man after learning he was wanted on a warrant from Liberty charging him with domestic violence.
Theft: A Cortland man, 21, was charged with theft after someone stole cosmetics from Wal-Mart.
Stolen property: After Boardman police tried to pull over a vehicle determined to have been stolen in Liberty, they arrested a 24-year-old Youngstown man on charges of receiving stolen property, resisting arrest and failure to comply with the order of a police officer. Police say the suspect fled in the car before jumping from the vehicle and running into a home on Judson Avenue, Youngstown.
June 25
Possible theft: An employee at Pharmacy Data Management, 940 Windham Court, reported that phone services may have been stolen.
Theft: A woman in the 5300 block of Linger Place reported three patio chairs stolen from her back yard.
Theft: A woman left Lowe's, 1100 Doral Drive, and noticed her cellular phone missing from her car.
Theft: A woman reported her cellular phone may have been stolen from her purse while she was at Wal-Mart.
Theft/criminal damaging: A man returned to his vehicle at the Southern Park Mall and discovered someone had broken in and removed a compact-disc player.
Theft: A woman in the 4500 block of Lockwood Boulevard reported solar landscaping lights stolen from her yard.
Criminal damaging: A man found one side of his vehicle was spray-painted while he was at Petland, 7338 Market St.
Arrest: A 64-year-old Poland man was charged with one count of criminal trespass after police say he entered Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive, despite being told to stay off the property.
Drugs: During a traffic stop, police arrested a 21-year-old Boardman man. Charges against him were possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana after officers say they found a suspected marijuana cigarette and a metal pipe in the car.
Theft: A Poland woman, 18, and an Austintown girl, 17, were charged with theft after cosmetics were stolen from Wal-Mart.
Arrest: After finding a man slumped over the steering wheel of his vehicle at Taco Bell, 458 Boardman-Canfield Road, they arrested an 18-year-old Boardman man. He faced charges of operating a vehicle under the influence, having an open container and underage possession of alcohol.
